Rock Woods

In the northern part of the Estonian Mining Museum, on top of the old gangue hill, there is an area with a special spirit – the Rock Woods. It is a sacrificial place that was created in honour of the native Estonian religion.
The visitors are asked to bring bigger or smaller pieces of stones from their home, in order to thank the hundreds of miners whose hard work has brought electricity to Estonian homes for several decades.
